Sistahs Go Red

Sistahs Go Red Sistahs Go Red Sistahs Go Red

Heart disease is the #1 killer of Americans and women and for African–American women, the risk of heart disease is especially great.

Each February is Heart Month at the American Heart Association and a time to encourage women to celebrate their lives and their hearts.

Our Sistahs Go Red campaign aims to work with faith and non–faith organizations to select a day in February when women will wear red and promote heart health. Since its inception in 2009, we have actively engaged over 5,000 women.
For activities taking place in February 2012, please check back in December or contact Vicki Williams at 510.904.4015.
